Relocation Services in Rwanda
A structured, on-the-ground service for individuals, families, and companies moving to Rwanda.
Introduction
Moving to Rwanda involves more than finding a home. It requires coordinating a new life: housing, permits, utilities, and settling in.
Isanzi provides a structured service to manage this transition. We coordinate the process through a single, documented plan. We are a property agency, not a law firm or an immigration agency. We work with a trusted network of licensed professionals to ensure every step is handled correctly.
We are Kigali-based. If you are still abroad, we can run most of the process before you arrive. The more lead time we have, the better the outcome.

Who this is for
We work with:
- Individuals and professionals moving for a new career or a new chapter.
- Families relocating a household, with a focus on schools and community.
- Corporate clients relocating staff efficiently.
- Returning diaspora Rwandans returning home and needing trusted local support.
- Investors establishing a base for business or investment in Rwanda.
Our process
Every relocation follows a structured, four-step methodology.
Assess
We begin by understanding your goals, budget, timeline, and what matters most to you. This assessment determines the right pathway for your move.
Plan
We define the scope of work. This includes a clear plan for housing, a timeline for administrative steps, and a budget. We agree on what Isanzi will coordinate and what will be handled by you or a specialist partner.
Implement
This is where we execute the plan. We coordinate viewings, negotiate the lease, manage the handover, and guide you through the administrative steps in the correct order.
Integrate
We support your transition to ensure you are settled. This includes checking in after you move in and providing ongoing guidance on local services.
What we do
Housing search and move-in
We begin with a detailed brief covering budget, preferred areas, must-have features, and timeline. We then curate a short, relevant list of properties.
- Virtual viewings if you are still abroad
- A structured viewing trip planned for when you arrive
- Negotiation of terms on your behalf
- Tenancy agreement prepared and signed
- Handover process, including inventory and move-in coordination
Relocating staff efficiently
We work with HR managers to place staff quickly, with regular updates and a single point of contact. The service covers the entire process from brief to move-in.
- Brief agreed with your HR team
- Shortlist of properties matched to employee level and budget
- Viewings coordinated around the employee's arrival
- Tenancy agreement, inventory, and handover handled by us
- Regular reporting to HR on progress and completion
Support before you return
If you are returning to Rwanda from abroad, we help you settle back into the market. This includes remote property sourcing, guidance on land and property transactions, and coordination with legal representatives in Rwanda.
- Remote property search and shortlisting
- Virtual viewings with photos and video
- Guidance on the tenancy or purchase process in Rwanda
- Coordination with notaries and the National Land Authority where a purchase is involved
- Support for authorising a representative in Rwanda through the IremboGov legalisation process
Administrative guidance
We do not process immigration or legal matters on your behalf. We tell you what is required, in what order, and where to apply. The following are the main steps for settling in Rwanda.
Visa and residence permit
Applications are handled by the Directorate General of Immigration and Emigration. Requirements depend on the type of permit (work, investor, dependent, or other). Apply before arrival where possible.

Work permit
If you are taking up employment in Rwanda, your employer typically applies for a work permit on your behalf. The process runs through the Directorate General of Immigration and Emigration.

Where a step requires a lawyer, a notary, or another licensed professional, we refer you to one. We do not provide legal or immigration advice.
Areas we cover
We are Kigali-based. Our coverage includes the three districts of Kigali.
For placements outside Kigali, we can advise where possible or refer you to a trusted local partner.
Get in touch before you arrive if possible. The more lead time we have, the better the outcome.
